Rui Hachimura’s fourth signature G-SHOCK makes its grand debut! The design of this signature watch is inspired by professional basketball player Rui Hachimura, showing a strong feeling. This hybrid model is based on the GBM-2100 and features an eye-catching metal bezel, solar charging and Bluetooth connectivity. Red is the color of the G-SHOCK brand, evoking Hachimura’s passion for the game and complementing the gold dial with a basketball court theme. The black strap highlights the striking effect of the surface and integrates the design to create a watch that demonstrates focus and power. The back of the watch is engraved with Hachimura's original logo "Hachi" ("hachi" in Japanese, meaning "eight"), and the side button at 8 o'clock is also laser-engraved with the "eight" symbol. These and other Hachimura-inspired symbols are sprinkled throughout the design, creating a collaboration that truly touches the mood of basketball around the world. Rui Hachimura was born on February 8, 1998 in Toyama Prefecture, Japan. Graduated from Meisei High School in Miyagi Prefecture in 2016, and then entered Gonzaga University in the United States. As a member of the Gonzaga University basketball team, he became the first Japanese national to compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) tournament. Hachimura won the 2018-2019 Julius Erving Award, which honors the top men's college forward player of the year. He became the first Japanese-born player in NBA draft history, being selected ninth overall to the Washington Wizards. Hachimura will join the Los Angeles Lakers in 2023.
